These Terms of Service govern the use of BatteryMapChat, including the mobile application, related websites, and connected support services. By accessing or using BatteryMapChat, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally permitted to use the service where you live. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account and profile information and to keep it reasonably up to date.
How the Service Works
BatteryMapChat is a location-based service that may display nearby active users on a map, allow greetings to be sent, and create chats after a greeting is accepted.
- Map visibility depends on device state, permissions, and recent activity.
- Greetings may be limited by daily quotas or purchased balances.
- A chat does not open unless the recipient accepts the greeting.
- Blocking may prevent future greetings, chats, or other interactions.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, exploit, or impersonate another person;
- send spam, scams, malware, or deceptive content;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service;
- upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, or sexually exploitative content;
- use false location, automation, or account sharing to manipulate the service;
- attempt to bypass moderation, billing, or security systems.
Purchases and Membership
BatteryMapChat may offer paid features such as monthly membership and greeting packs. Purchases are processed through the relevant platform billing provider.
- Membership and greeting packs may be repeat-purchase products where supported.
- Platform fees, taxes, and refund rules may be governed by the billing provider’s policies.
- Entitlements may be adjusted, revoked, or expired if a purchase is refunded, canceled, reversed, or found to be invalid.
- Unless local law requires otherwise, digital purchases may be non-refundable after delivery of the entitlement.
Moderation and Suspension
We may investigate behavior that appears to violate these Terms, harm users, or create legal or security risk. We may remove content, block interactions, suspend access, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary.
Content and Rights
You keep ownership of content you create or upload, subject to the rights needed for us to host, process, display, secure, and moderate that content in connection with the service.
BatteryMapChat and its service materials, branding, software, and design elements are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect location accuracy, message delivery timing, or that every interaction will be safe, successful, or welcomed.
Liability Limits
To the extent permitted by law, BatteryMapChat and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. Continued use of the service after an update means the revised Terms apply to the extent permitted by law.
