Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your use of BatteryMapChat, including the mobile app, this website, and related support services. By accessing or using BatteryMapChat, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
BatteryMapChat is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to use the service in the place where you live.
- You must provide accurate registration and profile information.
- You must keep your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.
- You may not use another person's account without permission.
How the Service Works
BatteryMapChat is a location-based social service. It may display nearby profiles on a map, allow users to send greetings, and create a chat only after the receiving user accepts the greeting.
- Map visibility depends on your permissions, device state, recent activity, and your own visibility setting.
- Nearby discovery may use live location, reduced-accuracy location, last-known location, and map search tools.
- Chats support text, image messages, read states, push notifications, blocking, and message history.
- Uploads may include profile avatars, chat images, and feedback screenshots.
- The service may evolve, and specific features may be changed, limited, or removed over time.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the text, images, feedback, and other content you submit. However, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, and moderate that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload the content you submit, and that your content does not violate law, privacy rights, or another person's intellectual-property rights.
Purchases and Digital Goods
BatteryMapChat may offer paid digital products such as membership plans and greeting packs. Purchases in the current Android flow are handled through Google Play billing.
- Product availability, pricing, taxes, and billing mechanics can vary by country and store policy.
- We may verify purchases with Google Play and our backend before granting or restoring entitlements.
- Entitlements may be reduced, revoked, or expire if a purchase is refunded, reversed, canceled, found invalid, or subject to platform enforcement.
- Where local law gives you mandatory consumer, conformity, refund, or cancellation rights, those rights are not limited by these Terms.
- Where local law permits immediate supply of digital content after purchase, withdrawal or refund rights may be limited once the entitlement has been provided.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, or impersonate another person;
- send spam, scams, malware, or deceptive or manipulative content;
- upload unlawful, infringing, violent, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise abusive content;
- scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, or overload the service;
- use bots, automation, false location, or device spoofing to manipulate discovery, greetings, or chat;
- attempt to bypass security, moderation, or billing protections;
- use the service in violation of law or another person's rights.
Moderation and Suspension
We may investigate behavior that appears to violate these Terms, create user-safety risk, or create legal or platform risk. We may warn, block, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary.
We may also comply with valid legal requests or platform requirements affecting content, payments, or access.
Privacy and Location
Your use of BatteryMapChat is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Because the service is location-based, some features depend on location data, map search providers, push notifications, and related technical processing.
- You control whether you grant device permissions such as location, notifications, and photo access.
- You can turn off map visibility in your account settings, but some discovery features will then be limited.
- You should not share sensitive personal data in greetings, chats, profile text, or uploaded images unless you are comfortable doing so.
Deactivation and Closure
You may stop using the service at any time. The current app also provides an in-app account deactivation flow.
- Deactivation may disable login sessions, turn off map visibility, and detach live device linkage.
- Some records may still be retained where necessary for fraud prevention, dispute handling, safety, backups, transactions, or legal compliance.
- Messages or content already delivered to other users may continue to exist in their history, subject to technical limits and lawful retention requirements.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BatteryMapChat is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect map accuracy, perfect location accuracy, continuous chat delivery, or that every interaction will be safe, successful, or welcomed.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BatteryMapChat and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights that apply in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If applicable law requires additional notice for a material change, we will provide that notice.
